Renaultsport Trackday Knockhill 23rd May

Retarded on a new scale then.

I would have come if it was at night.

Well im picking my mate up in Newport at around 6:45ish then ill be heading trough the glenrothes way to get there for around 8 so could easily meet you over the taybridge in the carpark (Fife Side) ?

Not too sure where you mean? I would usually just go straight along the kingsway and head for edingburgh then turn of for knockhill?
 
Hopefully the weather brightens up. My "well used" 888s dont like a wet track.

Life will be easier if i just meet you on the Kingsway mate, you stopping off on your way down for food as ill prob nip into McD's at camperdown for a quick grab of some food so could meet you there ?

Im hoping its dry as well ! it wasnt to bad on Sunday just the odd shower now and then with overcast skys !

Ha ha, honestly its not! Literally change over my wheels and check the pressure and all fluidsnetc, better being safe than sorry!

Biohazard - what mcdonalds is that? As you can probably tell I'm useless with places unless it's in and Aberdeen! What about the bp petrol station just outside Dundee? On the left where it turnsnbacknto the 70mph limit?

Yeah that'll do mate ill give you a time closer to the day though ! The McDs is on the right hand side just after the BMW/Mini garage beside the Ice Rink.

Theres a petrol station not that far away from the track so I woudlnt bother with jerry cans tbh.
 
I'm taking extra fuel, saves leaving to get especially if my tires get illegal. The petrol station is a shell and you do get v power, about ten mins down the road from knock hill.

I think we have to be there for 8? So say 7:15?
 
True point, i can see mine being shot by the end of the day ! all the reason to try out the Federal 535whatevertheyarenumbered RS once they are shot !

Yeah 8 is the briefing so say ill meet you at the BP for round 7:15 then ??

Think i need my Geo and tracking done too, might just have to deal with it as only get back on sat night with sunday to sort the car unless anywhere does it on a sunday, lol.

HOw has everyone booked it, through Rsport or Knockhill website?

I done it through the KH website mate. You can phone to book as well.

Has everyone decided on which Renaultsport of the 3 you will be "testing"? Think I'm gonna opt for the Twingo 133 as I had a go of the Meg 250 at Silverstone last year.

called aswell to see if i could join later on the day and just booked there and then.

i think i would try the megane. depends if you let me have a shot of your clio haha.

Ill do it through the KH website then. Tried the twingo and have a 200, so will prob be the megane, but havent used the 200 on track, so 200 could be an option to get an idea!

Think i will try the 200 or twingo, thinkin about getting the misses one, probably the best test drive i will ever get!
 
Though it would be but just wanted to confirm. Watch out for me, in a black 182 with small Edinburgh cruise stickers on side rear windows. I'm sure I'll notice all of you's

You get to do 3-5 laps in one of Renaults cars but it is with an instructor in the car also. They guy I got landed with in the 250 last year at Silverstone was a w@nk.

Also guys, remember to bring both parts of your driving licence. Guys were turned away at Silverstone last year when the came with just the photocard part.

Luckily just got my updated licence back from DVLA yesterday!

Reckon its mostly cliosport members going?:cool:
 
i'll be up however i still need to bleed my brakes and fit new lines lol and i have no days off!!!

You could phone KH tomorrow and ask if they need it (They dont usually) but do you wanna risk having to drive home on Monday morning to pick it up and then head back down?
 
That's pretty poor tbh, paper part of your license as well! I have never ever needed at knockhill before!

I suppose its only an extra bit of paper but if you hadn't said I wouldn't have brough tmine!
 
( weekend ) Kwik-Fit at Blackhall in Edinburgh has the Hunter gear for alignment and can take cars that are low...... Before and after printout to.

I'll be up to watch, I need bushes done on mine and haven't had a chance to get them done.

Really need to get my finger out, Was looking forward to the tuition for a tenner bit.
 
i need my camber and tracking properly set up..but ill live with it lol. Defo need front brake pads :( anyone know a rough number of people ment to be coming to this from other forums etc?

I know of 1 other from Clio197.net and however many from here.

KH's facebook said theres 20 booked last week.
