Repairing Federal RSR?

  Ph1 T
Noticed other day ive got a nail in my rear tyre now its not going down whatsoever but i need to get it sorted as got a trackday sunday..

Can you repair the RSR with it been a semi slick tyre is it just same routine as repairing any other tyre? Didnt know if it would make a difference

I wouldnt purely as you will be applying a lot of load to the tyre due to trackdays and the increased levels of grip.

My only other option is to fit a hankook v12 tyre as wont be able to get another RSR in time would this make a massive difference to my grip levels having 1 odd tyre

If the nail isn't near an edge of the tyre and you leave it on the back I Would track it after its been repaired.

Get it plugged, put it on the back - forget about it!

Absolute worse case scenario, it'll just go flat... But I bet you it will last the day & more.

I've been running a pair of rsr's on the front and some cheap budgets on the back for my last few ack days just because i got the budgets free with some new wheels I bought. Probably makes the tail a little bit more happy when your on the limit but that just makes it more fun! :D

as above, either repair it and stick it on the rear and take a spare wheel to get you home if it does give out or get two matching budgets sorted for the rear of the car and have a bit of tail happy fun sunday
