  '03 MCS, MKV Ed30
Is there a guide how to do it since i have ABS or is it easier to get a garage on it?

Also if I DIY it, what fluid shall I go for?

Thanks

James

i'm doing this soon too, (and installing brembo's)
I bought an eezibleed....and a footpump to pump up the tire since the 182 has no spare :p
For fluid everybody on here reccomends ATE superblue, and it seems about a litre is needed.

Yea i found a thread that someone had put ATE Superblue and then Castrol and said the Castrol was better hence why i went for that in the end.

When bleeding the system make sure you start from the furthest point of the master cylinder and work your way closer.
I.e
N/s/r then O/s/r N/s/f then O/s/f

just going off on a tangent here....

as none native english speaker...nearside and off side?
Are these different terms for left and right, or should these be taken literally and relative to the driving position?

just something I was wondering about...

Off Side = The Drivers Side of the Car, often shorten to O/S.

Near Side = The Passenger Side of the Car, often shorten to N/S.

An easy way to remember is Near Side is nearest the kerb, hence, Near Side.

I used the £20 gunson eezibleed kit a while back,

Getting the bottle to seal was the hardest part of the job, once i had an air tight seal it was easy,

Open the valve and just make sure the bottle doesnt go below minimum, really would help if another person was there to check the bottle.

Oh... and then seeing as the bottle of new fluid will be pumped straight into the reservoir... i had it filled to the brim when finished... so a syringe can be useful to remove the excess until its just on the max line.

As you're from Netherlands and being a left hand drive car to make it easier to understand you'd need to bleed the brakes in this order.
1)drivers side rear
2)passengers side rear
3)drivers side front
4)passengers side front

Hope this helps

So it is a relative thing...thanks
