Replacing Driveshaft - How much oil?

I’m about to buy some Elf NFJ (I understand this is recommended) gearbox oil as i’ll be replacing the passenger side driveshaft on my 182 next weekend.

The car will be on a lift, so sitting flat. Any guesses at how much gearbox oil i’ll need?

Also, any problem with overfilling a little? My box leaks from the usual spot.

Thanks!

You can't overfill. Just top it up until it starts to dribble out of the hole. Easiest to do with the car on the floor and the bumper off.

Officially take a 3.1L but obviously you'll never get it all out so, as said above, 3L is fine and just fill til it starts coming out the fill hole.
