replacing front windscreen wiper rubber?

I went and bought a pack of windscreen wiper rubber inserts today as mine appear to be cack....
it says the old ones literally just slide out and these slot in?

ive pulled and pulled but to no avail...

(sounds like the story of my life)

anyway. any help would be loved

iirc only on some wiper's you can remove the "rubber blade" from,

All the new ones come with the wiper itself thesedays,

IIRC you need to pull the end down past the stop then slide out. The rubber will have two metal strips that run in a channel on each side to keep it's shape. You then have to transfer the metal strips to your new rubber then refit by sliding back in.

Hope that makes sense. Is a PITA to do TBH which is why most people just buy new wiper arms.

Yep you'll need to make sure its not catching at the stops on either ends and pull hard..

steve its just the rubber blades themselves.... not the metal 'frames' i suppose you could call them.

saved me about a tenner tbh.

in reflection. new wipers would have been better i guess! may make a trip to the shopzzz again tomorrow. easier to fit i presume?

Yes ben much easier to replace the wiper, get some bosch ones btw, best make.

What happened to the 182 anyway?

yeah they are still in packaging so i may take them back tomorrow...

what 182? havent got one although i was thinking about it recently. depends when my monies come through. you ever up preston?
