Replacing key fob battery?

Do i need to worry about being to close to the car? or takeing to long to swap the batteries over? will it loose the code, or just get on and do it?

Only because these were excuses i was told to tell customers whilst working for a large motor parts and accessories retailer to save us changing batteries and breaking keys or loosing codes.

I changed the battery in my fob the other week mate, never had any problems with it, worked well better afterward .

will give it a go one day then, both mine and the girlfriends clio keys need doing
