replacing the heater on my track car?

  e92 + E46 M3 + Cup
Well as a few you know, my track car is currently being pulled apart left right & centre in the quest to make it an oversized go kart, now the dash is all out & hopefully will stay that way, one thing though is the heating unit is massive & it will only be used to de-miss the front windscreen, so question at hand, could i run an electric 12dc heater into the ducts this way removing a fair amount of weight & mess from the cockpit ;) if so what good 12v heaters are there, preferable low power consumption because of the racing batterey but then again it will only be used when the cars running & i would of thought for short periods of time

Thats what i was worried about White16valver, then again its not a daily driver & wouldnt need the car to warm up in 2 minutes so guess it could be left running for 10 mins

So even a 200w one would not really be any good then? seen a few on the bay, would make life so much easyer to just wack one of those in

I could have dreamt this, but didn't someone on here use a Escort MK1 heater?

Thinking about... think burp did, will have a flick through his thread!

Nice find hutchie, something like that could work a treat, just wonder how you would wire that pug heater up, not as if its just positive & negative..
