Repleacement Handbrake Handle

  Clio 1.2 Expression
Hi

I have just bought something very similar to this.... http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/...uctId_388635_langId_-1_categoryId_165454#dtab

The only problem is getting the other handbrake handle and release button off!!! On a previous thread I was told the car must be lifted into the air to unbolt the handbrake but I can't see why I need to do that! I think it involves the same procedure as replacing the gear knob and to get the hacksaw out again and saw it off! But that left a right mess in the car, and also i don't want to saw through something I'm not supposed to.

Can anyone help

Thanks
Ben

Hi

I have a haynes manual an it says nothing about that where I looked. If you have seen it in there, is it possible for the page number.

Thanks

Yeah I suppose, but I have already bought the handle and a leather gaiter for it!!! So can't really waste it now!!!

Well I have also seen the some clios with a silver release button on the handbrake. Does anyone know where you buy these from?

Thanks
Ben

i had one of the ripspeed hand brake jobbies fitted to the cup , they had to cut the old out for it to fit , not an easy job .
