resetting engine light on nissan

anyone know how to reset the engine warning light on a
2006 nissan almera. sorry had to go onto almera forum
but strangely enough it is dead, this is far more lively.

any local garage with diagnostic machine should be able to reset the error log providing of cause you've solved the original problem.

Thanks Middo ,hoping somehow i could reset it without
going to a garage, yes the fault is fixed.Would disconnecting the battery for an hour maybe not fix it?

not normally as its stored on the ecu error log. the only lights that sort themselves are those that have a self testing facility (like seatbelt lights) so if you fix it the light goes off. shouldnt be looking at much if you avoid the dealer.
