Rev Counter

My needle occasionally gets stuck at around 2000 rpm, but it drops down when i let the rev's go down. I've got lockwood dials, but it isnt a problem with the counter actually sticking because i've had it out. Any ideas? or anyone had the same problem?

I get that sometimes, rev the s**t out of it and it tends to free up!!! Ive got the standard dials on mine too
