Rev Limeter

Need a bit of advice lads

My 182 has been remapped and my rev limeter was up to 8000rpm but after giving her some this morning I noticed it has decided to go back to standard 7200 rpm any ideas why it has done this?

8000! What remap did that?! I wouldn't want to be revving that high tbh.

Were you accelerating, or engaging the clutch after a downshift?

Sack an 8k limit in Clio.

BBR racing dit it for the previous owner Im not worried about it being at 7200 just confused to why it would return to standard?

I am really I rarely took it past 7200 rpm anyway

they can handle 7800 - but i wouldnt want to go above that - especially as standard power is around 6700

It shouldnt return to a normal limit, id say either the rev counter had a funny 5 mins or they moved the cold limiter up to 7200 from 6500

No way the cold limiter would be 7200, unless it's knackered somehow.

The limiter should be 7800 and not 8000rpm and the cold limiter is at 6500.
