rev limiter in 3rd!

what do your 182's hit in 3rd before the limiter kicks in?

im sure mine used to hit 90 in third but ive had a s/s sytem fitted and i was suprised when it didnt go past 85 the other day.

that normal?

105ish, but I believe the Ph1 172 is taller geared. This is at around 8'000rpm too, dont even know what standard limiter is set at lol

probably because the car hasnt fully warmed up! Hitting the limiter early

down a hill I reckon a standard 172 could do 140 on the clock

It was lol.

ITB's, 428 cams, Omex 600 etc etc and over 8'000rpm was just shy of 140mph on the clocks. You can see the shorter geared 182 hit almost as high a speed on GDI's RR demo vid on youtube as well

You should manage 90ish, i'll bet it wasn't warm and was hitting the lower limiter at 6500rpm?
