rev limiter



  clio 172 cup
on my 172 cup when im puttin my foot down the limiter kick in at about 6700k in 2nd nd 3rd does this happen with all them? just seems weird i cant redline it

Thats the limiter when the engine is still cold to protect it from getting damaged before the oil is up to operating temp, stop booting it from cold or you could do serious damage.

im not sure but that could be the cold limiter. try it after about half hour of driving
edit too slow

i never relised it was still cold wont b doin that again in a hurry lol

That's the water temperature pal. Not oil.

I do 10 minutes of steady driving before thinking about booting it....

Why they were'nt built with an oil temp gauge is beyond me.

Even my old Pug205 1.9 GTI had one.
