Reverse Loud Knock

where do you get this part from lads? how do you remove the old one from the end of the shaft? do you need to get the new one pressed in?

few more details please i think i now have the same problem;)

No need to press it on. You just bash the new one on.

I think Harry had an easier job than me I had to use a sledge hammer to remove my driveshaft from the hub and to remove the sleeve from the other end.

I think the part is available from Renault or I could give you the number of the place we got ours from. It's 70 quid inc delivery.

01254 238163 is the number of the place. Think they specialise in renaults.

The guy we spoke to was Kieran. Don't know what the parts called but just explain it hell know exactly what you mean.

But I'd check your local dealer first as I'm sure they just send you a genuine part from Renault anyway.

I'll have a look when I get home. But full lock or driving straight had no effect on mine. It done it all the time.

Best way is to stick the handbrake on put it in reverse and bring up the clutch to the bite. If you get a thud it could be that. Try it in first and reverse a few times.

i had a wheel bearing sound, i'm wondering if it was the spline rubbing away as their would be movement not a tight fitment, will see if the wheel bearing noise disappears once all back together hoping to get it all done by friday.

I would say if you're getting these early warning sounds take it easy, as I didn't and it went and lost all drive and was stranded, just lucky I work at a garage and got it recovered and got the mechanics working on it straight away!
