reving problem

hey guys, I've finaly got the exclusive back and it revs up on his own to about 2500rpm can anyone help me with the problem???
it drops back down when i tap the throttle but its causin me a problem not and i'm gettin naffed off with it!

Yeh check the throttle isn't sticking and generally check the body.

Sounds like a throttle problem, either a sensor gone, or more likely a sticky throttle body. If you're any good yourself (if not take it to a specialist), take the throttle body off and clean around the butterfly.
