revs sticking

hi all,
noticed today my car revs dosnt go down straight away when i release the accelorator pedal theres a second or 2 delay.
anyone experience this.

throttle body probs needs a good clean

I drove a 172 before which revs stuck when it was floored. I pooped my pants to say the least as I was heading towards a set of lights at 60+ I did put clutch down but revs were stuck bouncing off limiter.

I didn't buy that car after the test drive

It sounds like throttle body needs a good clean though.
