Revving its nuts off on start up

Hi I've just fitted new engine loom as car was non starter after fitting new engine ....engine now revving on limiter on start up ......disconnect throttle wiring and it drops to 1500 rpm any advice be helpful

getting a tyre fitted yesterday and The same thing happened to an old ladies Corsa
apparently its the 4th in a fortnight?

The Throttle body might need to find it's zero point. Try turning ignition on and leaving it for a few minutes, then repeat a few times. It might even be worth removing it and cleaning it out.

I had this problem, pluged in a diagnostics and got a code for the throttle position sensor so cleared it and havent had a problem since,

could also be the ICV, I just took my throttle body off and cleaned it out with carb and TB cleaner
