ride quality on 17's

  Clio 172 ph2
Does it make it any worse? Looking at a couple cars this wkend one with 17's but i live in a very rural area with nasty bumpy narrow lanes and don't want to harsh a ride. My M3 had 19's and was bad enough!

the wheel size is irrelevant really, low tyre profile will cause a rough ride. Normally anything less then a 45 profile will give a slightly harsher ride.

can't imagine it being particularly great, i don't even like 16's on the clio - much prefer my sets of 15's.

  Rusty Cup
slower 0-60 time but usually a stiffer side wall so better turn in response type thing, i really like how my old clio was on 17's just wish they didnt mess with the acceleration so much.

i had 17,s on one of my old 172,s and tbh it was horrible , was nearly sore on my wrists , go 16 max they suit the car so well

Cheers for info. Put deposit down on it so may well be swapping some 17's for some nice 16's!!
