Ride quality

  modified cliosport
Got a 172, lowered on h&r coilovers on 17" Oz wheels and low profile tyres. I know it will have a firner ride but is like driving a bouncy castle with square wheels at times  . I know its like the old mini with a wheel right at each corner so you will feel more bumps, but not knowing much about these things, is there any advice on if there could be a problem somewhere before I take it to a garage and get ripped off ?
Many thanks

1 - its lowered on coilvers, which were designed for race cars, which drive on perfectly smooth roads
2 - you have 17's, bigger wheels on a car which wasnt designed to take them will make it harder
3 - you have low pro's, less rubber to absorb the small bumps
4 - dont take it to a garage, theres nothing wrong with it, its just something you have to live with when you lower your car!

I thought and expected that would be the answer. It just makes it such a marmite car. I usually love to drive it but occasionally when i have been bounced around the insides i detest the thing. Have to stick to smooth roads then - if there are such things these days

lolz you got it easy on H&R's I use to have a pair there not harsh at all, you should try AST Coilovers, Whitline Rear Adjustable ARB, Strut Braces, Cage and you wont complain again... Id ditch the 17 " Chav size on a little clio, imo you want 16" for road or 15" for track...
