Roof rail strips - how to remove?

Just want to clear out any crap from behind them on the roof of mine.

Before I attempt it - what wise words of removal have people got?

Is there a specific technique used in taking them off? I have got a set of trim removal tools if those help?

Flat trim removal tool and gently prise them up. The fixings underneath are square so unclip from one side and then you can remove from the other. They don't generally take too much force to remove.
