RPM limited - Engine warning light - under harsh acceleration

Hello,

Occasionally under heavy acceleration (5k onwards with my foot down) a warning light appears on the dash and car suddenly becomes limited to very low RPM until ignition is cut and restarted.
It may be coincidence but I've not seen it do it out of gear. It seems to happily rev all the way up to the limiter in neutral.

The warning light is the little rectangle with the squiggle in the middle, engine warning light I think.

Anyone seen anything similar? or does anyone have any advice before it goes in for diagnostics testing?

That's the electrical fault light so Diagnostics will be the best place to start. Probebrly something electrical lying or simply out of spec.
