Afternoon all!
Right, for the past couple of weeks my Clio 182 was suffering from the common symptoms of going into 'limp mode' when I drove at usually 70 - 80mph or accelerated heavily between 2-3 thousand rpm, the engine warning light was also on. The car was diagnosed by a company that I know very well as I once worked there. The diagnostics came back with throttle position sensor and brake pedal sensor. The car was sent via the garage to Four Ashes Renault Specialists. They informed me of what I expected, the fault codes are not relevant to the limp mode fault, and the car is in need of a new throttle body.
So I agreed to have the work done for £300, which I thought was reasonable. Driving the car home today and it felt great! Until I realised the engine warning light had come back on 5 miles away from home, so I decided to accelerate heavily between 2-3 thousand rpm as much as possible when it was safe to do so and the was car fine! No limp mode! No problems! No worries!
Can anyone think why the engine warning light has come back on? Or how to resolve it? Having just spuncked 300 quid I'm desperate for the car to be back to normal again so any help will be much appreciated.
CHEERS!
