clio37, received your deposit so thanks, currenly on my phone so unable to update list but will in the morning.

gibs I see no problem with that at all, can put you on first thing meaning you don't have to rush, can have a cchat and watch others runs etc and then get off when you're ready.

whats the chances the dci will blow up?
im srs thinking of sticking it on thr RR but 20-30mins makes me cringe at the thought of it overheating the piece of ****

My gearbox will likely give up but isn't that half the fun?

if it wasnt i would give a crap if a con rod shot out the hood.

Only experience I had was a RR at the french car show last year. You drove on they did a couple of runs and drove off like 5 mins tops

And then they picked a figure from a hat or something that would sound good...

Also, with this one, you will be pitting your car against similar vehicles, so if there is something drastically wrong with your car the figures will show it.

My car a couple of years ago had a fairly low figure because I had done a few bits on engine bay and air intake/throttle body and hadn't fully sealed it so lost a few bhp. Took it back last year with it all sorted and made much healthier figures so it does help.

More than likely. My megane diesel should have been 120bhp factory spec an They rekon it had 110.7. But couldnt do print outs, Prob just guessed!
I will be servicing the car and doing a couple of bits before the RR day just got worried about someone hammering it for 20-30 mins

Its a few mins for the couple of runs. They have to ensure that the vehicle is strapped down so it doesn't fly off rollers...Don't worry...these are only 2 litre Clios....not some Veyron producing a hell of a lot more power. You will be fine. :)

2 of the blokes at this place have motorsport engineering degree's. your car is hooked up to a computer, if they notice the smallest thing wrong they won't run it!! Your car is in very safe hands!

Okay guys I have booked this now and payed Viezu, if Gibs/Dave could get their deposits across asap I'd appreciate that and same goes for Bayonne else interested.

I won't start another thread just yet but being the day after this RR day I thought it appropriate to mention the Chester Meet here as it's the day after. Most will know what it is, those who don't... http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?676912-THE-BIG-CHESTER-MEET-17th-of-march-2013!!!

(don't think our Gf's/Wives etc will be too happy that weekend).

The reason I mention it is firstly to try and get a rough idea of how many people are planning on attending.

Secondly I've been speaking to Ash (North West Area Rep that organises said meet) who has said that he knows of a local pub that has a campsite attached with shower facilities etc which we could stay at if anyone wanted too, alternatively we can convoy Sunday morning as we did last year.

1) Go to RR day, then Bromsgrove pub for lunch before heading home. The next morning we then follow the usual convoy format and meet somewhere like Wolverhampton Renault (if that suits the majority) and picking up any other cars on the way. Usually meet there circa 9am and leave just after so that we're not in too much of a rush to get there for 11am start.

2) Go to RR day, then Bromsgrove pub for lunch. After that the few that want to can convoy up to the campsite in Chester have a few beers and if it's fairly dry a BBQ in the evening or something before getting up Sunday morning for a short drive to the Chester meet.

Let me know which option interests you so I can at least let Ash know how many are interested etc.
Think Tom C is already interested in option 2, as am I (although not sharing a tent with him)

The RR guys told us to add 15% for drivetrain loss and something to do with the rollers.

So mine was making 155.6bhp atw, so add 15% and you get 173.6bhp atf.

Edit : Actually I just did some maths and 155.6 + 12%= 174.272
and 155.6 + 15%= 178.94.

Just looked at mine. 149 at the wheels, on video it says 171 and just worked that out at 15%. Hope I get a better result this time.

I think it was 15% as mine made 156 atw and with 15% it ends up 179.4 atf.

Also the Rollers have been changed from last time we went iirc i think Don mentioned it earlier on in this thread?

Roll on hopefully have a bit more output than last time.

Just after we were there last time, there was an incident with a race prepped Volvo so they would have changed rollers since last time due to failure. I'm sure Matt can confirm with Amie working there.

Think the rollers are the same unit, if not certainly same spec and same calibration, think they jammed but have now been repaired/faulty part replaced. Will confirm now.

Didn't the Volvo come off the rollers and go into the next doors unit through the wall?!! Not to worry anyone or any think?!!!

Lol well spoke to Amie, she obviously started there a couple weeks after the 'supposed volvo incident', she'd heard nothing so said she'd ask the lads what was done with replacing the rollers.
There were 2 lads in today that have worked there a while so she asked and...according to them no such incident took place.

Certainly no damaged walls either lol.

My mate Padi who got Amie the job there also know's nothing about it and he worked there up until circa 3 months ago.

Think it was Ad who initially said he'd heard it somewhere but guess it must have been somewhere else??
