rs grill fitment

Tried fitting my new rs grill today and didnt go well broke the two clips above the diamond but how do I get the bottom half of the bit that is attached to the bumper without taking bumper off can any one shine some light on it for me

Patience mate, a flathead screwdriver helps to pry the clips apart.

you will, more than likely lose some skin on your knuckles lol

I gather that this thread is near a year old, but ive been outside trying to refit my grill for over an hour.

it just wont pull back over the clips on the left hand side, the right hand side will pretty easily.

am I missing a technique or something? Swinging off it is going to break it eventually I guess.

Put your fingers through the holes and grab the bumper, then pull really hard like quagmire "giggity!"

That's what I was doing..

I cant get my finger in the holes on the left because of the guard.

Spent over an hour last night in the dark at this, got up in clear daylight, saw the headlight washer pipe running under where the clips 'clip'.

Moved that, 4 fingers in the holes, pulled straight on.

All you need is light. :clown:

it just takes time, be careful not to scratch your bumper also

I'm just going to chip in here (thread hi-jack sorry!)

I've bought a new RS grill as for some reason mine had a non sport one. The part is a Renault original but it just won't go on!

It's also not "arched" the same - any tips?
