RS Tuner on a Std Car ?

I've searched briefly and can't really find a definative answer so:

Is it ok to use an RS Tuner on a completely standard 172 ?

Are there even going to be any real benefits of this ?

smoother idle. less of a kick at 5k, with more power throughout the rev range.

Yeah will be nice to have the smoother idle and cold start issues resloved but will I see any decent performance gain on a std motor ?, I know the BHP gains are negligable

Are the generic RST maps, designed round a specific set of modifications atall (Filter/exhaust etc) ?

Going to get mine done soon ish. Mine has matched inlets and decat. Thats it rest is standard.
