No your the idiot, seriously how can you think ringing cars is legal?
If i wrap my clio up then just put the vin and plate on another one, does that mean its now the same car? no it doesnt, the car it has become already had its own vin number.

One of my best mates is into restoring 1970's range rovers.

All of the cars he's ever done have involved buying a logbook and a vin plate and ''reshelling'' a car like the one above.

ITs very common practice.

Its only classed as 'ringing' when stolen cars are involved.

Its common yes, but still illegal, only legal when shell is new and doesnt already have a vin number - see links.
