RS4-2 vs DS2500?

Will be needing a new set of pads and discs after next weekends trackday.

Currently have DS2500 with brembo HC discs.

Looking at either another set of DS2500 or Pagid blues. Anybody tried the two and how do you rate them against each other?

Pagids are similar to DS2500's but better (another price bracket to boot! LOL!)

great pad, a bit different in feel, pedal feels firmer with blues, much longer lasting than DS2500's which is good (blue is an enduro pad from memory), don't expect them to be MASSIVELY different, for that you'll need to go for PF97's aka the windscreen headbutters!

depends on driving style really, i've never managed to fade DS2500's on UK tracks, but some say i drive like a girl ;)

we ran blues and PF97's for 2 days straight (2 different clios) at Spa and the Ring, excellent performance

Thanks for the info guys, leaning towards the pagids a bit now.

Never had any real issues with the ds2500, some slight pad deposits on the discs last track day but it was a hot day.

y0z, reading your readforthetrack site (great site) do you recomend the brembo max discs over the HC for road/track use with the pagids?

When I spoke with Andrew he recommended Max and Blues or DS2500 and HC, I'm wanting Blues as my next pad to go with my Max's

That will make the pagid package quite a bit more £ than the ferodo one, around £90, is it worth it in performance and over the lifespanof the pads/discs?

Yeah thats what made me think twice about it but as I have the Max Disks now I think I'll take the plunge and go with the Pagids next time as I also have Braided Lines on now aswell

you don't HAVE to run the max discs, they just seem to work well with the blues, the rest of the pads i wouldn't bother with the max

I've run DS2500s and Blues - Blues all day long for me, I found the DS2500s wilted a bit too easily.

Plus I got almost 30k miles from the Blues so the extra cost spreads itself that much further.

I hate my blues at the moment. completely inconsistent pedal feel, grind like there is no pad left half the time and stopping power no better than standard. only been on the car 4k miles so got to have them checked out to see if there is a problem with them as completely contrary to all other reports.
