RUBBING WHEELS HELP!!!





I HAVE JUST PUT SOME GOLD 295/50/16R WHEELS ON MY 16V CLIO THE BACK ARE FINE EVEN WITH 3 IN THE BACK BUT THE FRONT ARE OK UNTIL I GET TO ABOUT 15MPH THEN THEY SOUND LIKE THEY ARE RUBBING I CANT SEE ANY VISABLE SIGNS OF RUBBING EVEN WITH THE WHEELS REMOVED BUT IT IS VERY BAD AND MAKES THE WHOLE CAR SHAKE THIS IS REALLY BAD ESPECIALLY THROUGH YOUR FEET THE STEERING RACK IS FINE THOUGH. ANY IDEAS COS THIS IS REALLY STARTING TO PI$$ ME OFF. CHEERS

well mine was rubbing with 215/50/16 but it is lowered about 40mm, it could be rubbing on the inner arch. I switched to 195/45 on the fronts and it stopped, the rears still rub going over big bumps at speed though.

Youll have to take your inner arch out mate.

Im running 215,40,17s and mine was terrible. I was gutted cos it took some paint of my newly painted wing too.

You will probably need to cut the lip off on your wings. A good stanly knife worked ok for me.
