Run dashcam off interior light circuit?

As an aside, I'd like to know how much it's possible to suck through the boot interior light.
What do you want to do? brighter lighting?
Almost. I need a way of turning the reverse lights on as worklights, at the moment I just put the car in reverse with the engine off, but it's not an ideal solution. Obviously to be legal the lights can't be switched on while the car is moving (or at least forwards at any rate), so wiring them up to the interior light means that they can only be on when the boot's open.
