Hi guys, has anybody had any exp of converting a car on runflats to normal tyres?

  330i. E30 Touring.
Ask the same question on a BMW forum and you'll get a million more replies.

All pretty much saying that runflats are both expensive and unneccessary.

My mate has a 335i m sport coupe. Took the Bridgestone runflats off for a set of Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas. The ride, handerling and grip where all greatly improved whilst the tyre noise and wear went down. BMW didn't care and the warranty on the car wasn't effected in his case.

Dads just changed his x5 from Bridgestone (iirc) runflats to conti sports and he can't believe the difference, The only real advantage to runflats is if the police are chasing you and have stingers!

I went from Dunlop Sport runflats to normal Avon ZZ3 and the comfort on the road is much better, no more jumping around.
