run into a slight problem while refurbing alloys

i've just painted the black on my alloys and about to start the red lip on the edge......but now im completely screwed for ideas of how to mask off the main part of the wheel without pullin off all the paint i've done! suggestions would be greatly accepted......

pull the masking tape off the roll and mask your clothes or your leg or something to take away the stickiness, then mask around as normal
