rusty arches

  clio mk1
Hi all, going to pick up my 16v tomorow and ive had a good look at it today and it all seems good and drives nice and solidly, I also have some cash waiting in my bank for when it breaks which I hear is daily!

Anyway one problem with the car is the rear arches, there starting to bubble rust.. Does anyone know any car sprayers who would sort that for me around the Hull area/ East Yorkshire.

Also if no one does know ill give a few places a ring out of the yellow pages but what sort of price should I expect to pay for the 2 arches derusted and filled/resprayed??, I wont be going out init much till the arches are done becuase it will just annoy me not having it look perfect,

thanks all

Will be easier to do the perperation urself and just get the bodyshop to do the spraying, will work out cheaper but if ur a beginner at this kinda thing itl be best gettin it done properly.

If the bodyshop u go to is decent then chances r they will want to do the whole rear quarter to blend it in with the rear arches. Iv been quoted £140 per rear quarter so id expect to pay anything up to 300 quid to av it sorted.

If theres really only a few bubbles then i really wouldnt bother tbh. It is a common problem on mk1s and everyone expects it so u dont look worse off by having it. Anyway hope this helps!

but if you dont then you have a very clean example ;)

i recon you'd be looking more like the £175-250 mark to get it sorted mate...
