Clio 197 RB
Had a bit of a challenge on my hands today, was asked by my Girlfriends nan if I could have a go at cleaning her Silver Saab 93 Convertable (soft top). It was in quite a state, the fabric roof was covered in moss and dirt and the bodywork was covered in tar spots.
Couple of befores:
I started with the wheels which were ok for a 12 year old car, the paint was beginning to flake in places but had next to no kerbing.
Before:
After a clean with Auto Finesse imperial:
During Iron-X:
After:
they came up quite nicely.
Next I moved onto the roof, I used a variety of stiff brushes and Megs APC.
Before:
50/50:
Came up really nicely, but not perfect, but I am so pleased with the result
I then moved onto the body, was foamed with AF Lather and left to dwell.
Then began de-taring the body work with AF ObliTARate then it was Clayed.
Run out of time due to taking so long on the roof, so didn't DA the body, instead I used Prima Amigo to further clean the paint to ready it for a coat of Dodo Juice Light Fantastic.
The tyres were treated with Megs Endurance, the black plastic trim was treated with AF Revive and the glass cleaned with AF Crystal.
Finally some afters:
And some beading
