Sad day for the PH-RSi:(

  Evo 6, E92 320d
Well coming home from work, dual carriageway and traffic flowing smooth then all of a sudden it stops. Hit the breaks but went into the back of a ka.
Anyway it now looks like this:(

I have that headlight, and a mint bonnet. Cheap.

pm me if you want them.

Its all being sorted through insurance, but cheers Dan. It was drivable but now the bonnet is not held down so its a bit risky.

Write off? f**k off.
^ as Menziesss said, buy it back on the cheap, won't take that much to fix that, sure you could source the parts.

Had a chat with the insurance guy, claim value was £2.5k worth of damage, so it can't of been purely cosmetic. They are putting a stopper on my policy until i get a new car so they will just change over the policy, which isn't too bad as it won't cost me. I would prefer not to get it back, just don't want another cat d or in this case cat c i think.
Anyway onwards and upwards, i was quick before they took it so have a recaro trendline with clio subframe and 172 ph2 rear bumper for sale soon:)

I shall update when i know what salvage yard gets it, as there is a nearly new ktec stealth on it and nearly new ktec suspension kit.

Yea what about buying it back to break? shame to write of a good car, Thats the problem 172 body parts are quite expensive but i dont know where they got that figure from

Could easily understand that price tbh, front panel could be mashed, would have to paint the other wing and the drivers door for a blend as well, and insurance will only use genuine parts.

Gutter mate :( Was a tidy motor

  Never above 25mpg
jeeze, that plus paint and labour will be £1k alone.
Plan is cloudy atm, dependant on my settlement figure im looking at a genuine ph1 172 or ibiza cupra.
Go for the Leon. Better car all round and same insurance group as 172.

Was going to get my Onvi Yellow one today but few mismatched panel colours put me off it :dapprove:

  Ph1 track 172
buy it back,

if the bumpers a grand,

then the lights, wing, bonnet slam pannel, from renault would explain the 2.5k damage estimate.

i say buy it back, shouldnt be too hard to fix, and youll get it back cheap as chips,
could even make money if you have a good source of parts

but it will always be classed as a cat d/c and i don't want the hassle selling it on tbh, plus i need boost:)

  audi a6 3.0tdi
buy it back and strip it for parts, make a small fortune, then scrap the shell
i did that but now i'm stuck with a shell in the backyard with no wheels suspension or subframes and no easy way of getting shut of it. make sure its worth while if you do buy it back
