Sat Nav Dash Removal

Has anyone taken the top of the dash of there 172 with sat nav? i just to make sure there will be no suprises when i take it off to fit the new headunit and stalk adapter.

Ive not attempted to take mine off so i cant help you there mate but im interested to know how you get on. Ive been thinking of upgrading my headunit but wasnt too keen as i didnt want to lose the track display/stalk control on the sat nav.

Is no different from a normal dash top, the screen is held in place under the dash top.

well i found out it uses a different stalk adapter than the standard clock anyone know the part number for alpine HU for a 172 with sat nav?
