satnav/ camera detectors

how do they work with the heat reflective screens? do you just hav to buy a small one that will fit by the cut out at the bottom of the screen or can you buy a gps reciver to put their and locate the unit somewhere else in the car?

Some work - some don't!

My Road Angel 2 worked to a fashion at the bot of the screen in the cut out area, but would take ages to pick up signal and drop out in town and under trees etc. Additional attenna on the the ledge next to the rear shelf and it is fine now.

i thought the antenna had to be pointing in the direction of travel? where did you get that antenna from mate and are they pricey?

i have a tomtom 1 in my 197 and gives me no problems at all

I have got my s4 snooper in the bottom of the window and it works fine got the radar add on pointing out there as well no problems
