Saxo VTS low mile

Well after the VTR saga this popped up for sale and within 5 minutes of it being advertised I got my hands on it.

One owner from new and covered 41k. Been off road and stored since 2010 so car is probably one of the most original out there which has never been modified.

So here it is, not been cleaned yet and not cleaned for 10 years.....

List of things to do before it hits the road.

Belts, all fluids, discs pads, tyres, shocks, arms, tyres and belts.

Rust and paint was the only two conditions I was looking for. Milage and owners is just a bonus.

Parts plus tyres are about £700 so not that much £££

That's probably the same cost as one brake disc for the M5?

Belts gates kit with water pump is £120. Book time for these to change belts is 2hrs. Supposed to be one of easiest belts to do.

That’s the idea. It will be used but obviously it will look as good as I’m capable of getting it.

Would love a EP3 type R but I’m not paying the money people are asking.

Indeed. When spring arrives I’m going to clean up the underside and seal. Especially the arches as they have no protection from factory.

Deep cleaned the exterior and engine bay today plus I checked under the ecu tray.

Tomorrow I’m going to clay and seal the exterior and work on it correctly in the spring.

Under ecu is solid, metal is wafer thin on these.

Those things are supposed to be hella fun. 1.8 VVC in a car which weighs about as much as a takeaway tub.
