ScratchX...

Car  Golf GTI PP Mk7
...Never again, jesus im knackered, that is such hard work to get off the paint. I thought id got it all off, opened the car port doors, to be greated by all the smeras, que another hour of buffing.

It does look good now tho, topped it off with 2 coats of SRP and a layer of EGP, just about to go do the p21s.

pics 2moro.

Scratch X is mega hard work, i had a very badly oxodised red clio only managed to do half the car in one days stint as my shoulder gave out! but boy heck did it look much better!

Jesus, you must be like Popeye now! Scratch X is designed to treat specific areas or defects on the paint, although nothing stopping you in theory doing the whole car to remove swirls. Must have been a nightmare though!

I did the whole car as the paint was in a bit of a state swirl wise. I think i underestimated how hard it is to get off tho.

I got it all off the boot first, looked across the rest of the car as was like 'Ah sh11111111t!'

good stuff, but f**k doing the whole car!

like i say, pics 2moro with a bit of luck.

There should be nothing to remove when using Scratch X, you need to work it till it is gone, leaving very little to remove and what there is should easily wipe off.

looking good mate. I used to Scratch X all of the Clio by hand. Hard work and very time consuming but the results are good. Folk used to ask if I had PC'd it :D

Looks good! How were you applying it? I am going to have a bash at mine I think over the bank holiday.

Not to rub it in...But half the time on a PC would see better results! :) But fair play! :)
