Did anyone go to see the giant puppets at the weekend?

I travelled 100 miles for it and it was well worth it.

I was a bit limited by the zoom functionality of my 18-55mm stock Lens, but some of my shots were okay:

We got there a little late to find the girl resting with her dog and snoring quite loud. >.<

We moved on to find the uncle, and found him sleeping in the middle of street - also snoring...

Then at 16:30, both of them, from their separate points, got up to walk to the dock where they would meet at 19:00:

Just outside the dock, they put the girl on a boat...

And that was it for the Saturday. It was really surreal and the festival like atmosphere and music was excellent.

Over 500,000 people apparently turned up to watch the event I heard....
