Sealing OMEX CTS

Finished fitting my ITB's tonight and started her up and the Coolant Temp Sensor is leaking.

I drilled the hole and tryed tapping it but didnt really do it that well. It stays in the hole but i need somthing to seal around the edges of the sensor.

Any ideas?

use an extra washer, and put some silicon on the thread and around the sealing face. once it sets it'll be leak free

Where can i get silicon from? Halfords?

Could you not put PTFE tape around the thread then screw it in?

I have used that but my thread is rather bodge

no, soft ally and not much thread, you're likely to damage it. just some liquid gasket. Loctite black silicon from halfords will do fine

Halfords have the silicone in for about £4.99 i think. Or as above B&Q

If all else fails I could sort you out a PTFE washer that you could tighten it up against. Any size mate not a problem.
