seat height

  Clio Mk2 DCI 68
I was wondering if it is possible to, ahem, "modify" the seat height adjuster to make the seat drop down any further, i have a mk2 ph3 2005 1.2. At the moment I feel like I am sat on the car rather than in it if you know what I mean? Also I am getting a knock from the rear-it sounds like a ball joint type of knock that you would expect from the front-gonna check wheel bolts in the morning, any other ideas chaps?

Bolts about my only guess on a car that new.
As for the seats I'm trying to figure somehting out at the moment. best guess to firt look is to mody the seats cushions.

Sorry guys - only joking!

But get some Cobra IMola's - your solution!

Nice and low!

Yozza has the lowest seat I have seen though!

IMO - your not going to get the std seats lower - unless you remove the padding and slider and remodify the mounting points.

It would save you alot of hassle to sell your std kit and buys some after market equipment.

Its the one thing that I had to rip out of the 172 at the earliest opportunity. The seats make you feel your driving a van!

What ever floats your boat, you may only have a 1.2 but the seats can be transfered accross to a 172/182 if the time comes ;)

some awesome pics there, good to see your doing it properly not just sticking a car on a track!
hope to do a similar thing when i can afford it!

I thought it would be a cheap project but its costing a fortune!

At least most things are done.

Next things are battery relocation and Mocal Oil Cooler.

okay sorted the knocking from the rear, i have a full apex -60 kit fitted to the car. i used the rear top shock rubbers that came with the kit, they are too "flat" and the dampers are bobbing around in the mounts. my mate drove the car while i was leant over the back seat and you can feel the damper moving with your hand. You might be thinking tighten the nut up a bit more to sqaush the rubbers but the thing is the shock shaft is only threaded so far down so I reckon a penny washer on each side should do the trick or put the standard renault rubbers back on that are thicker. hope this helps someone out on here.
