Seatbelt HELP!!!

I am in the process of fitting refitting my seat belts but now my seatbelt is locked solid like when you pull really hard and it locks. Anybody know how you release it?

These belts do not have the explosive pre-tensioner things on, but are from a 2004 clio.

I have searched the forum but i cant find a fix...

If the car has been in a crash you need new rear belts.

They have a locking mechanism in.

Right dont matter uve sorted the problem out. As there isn't a fix on the forum il put it on here.

Place the mechanism part flat against a vertical wall, with the dangly part of the belt at the top (ready to pull upwards).

Roll a small amount of belt back bown into the mechanism if possible, and then pull the belt back up to realease the locking mechanism, might need a small jiggle.

Doing all this against the wall. Worked for me.

The belts are not from an accident car, and i would very much doubt this would work for damaged belts, Also these are the belts WITHOUT the purple wire and the explosive stuff in.
