Secure Client logon areas - What do people use?

What does your company use for client logon areas?

I'm looking for something that our clients can login to and download files word documents, excel speadsheets etc, via our web site.

We are accountants, so mainly be used by joe bloggs, as a more secure way of sending personal info rather than email.

Any suggestions?
