Ive been thinking of getting a pager addition to the alarm on my new motor. Does anyone know if they are any good or not. I read that the range can be very poor!

Also does anyone have a proximity sensor on their car so if anyone goes near it it gives a brief warning?! If so is it worth it or does it turn out to be more annoying than anything else?

Also any other effective security devices on the market worth looking at?

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

I had a microscan pager and proximity sensor on my last car. Pager worked well but depends on what u want in terms of range. Can get up to a mile. Proximity can be turned on/off but I liked it it kept cats off and grubby kids away.
