So i just rang up, to change my policy so that i no longer have it lowered, as im turning back to standard. They told me that i cant do the work myself and for them to change it, they have to have a report from a garage saying its all correctly done. Which is stupid. As i have done the work myself before. So thats more money down the pisser.

Secondly, i asked for a quote of getting the car changed on my policy to a 172 and they say they cover that particular car. WTF, why don't they cover the 172? I said is it because of my age, and they told me they just dont cover that car.

Seriously p'eed off as i have been saving for the new car for ages.

Some dont cover the Cup IIRC.

Mine wouldnt even cover me at 19 on a 106 gti so i wouldnt worry mate lol.

Yea but they said they wouldnt cover ANYONE. No matter what. I mean wtf.

And the fact i have to spend money getting my springs changed is seriously annoying. As im perfectly capable.

I thought the only modifications that Quinn were concerned about where engine related ones? Well at least they were when i had my policy with them.

You should be able to do the work yourself.. just get a garage to inspect it and give u a report, might save you some money.

I dunno what do to now. Continue and get a 172, cancel my policy and pay loads. Or keep the car. Or sell up and get a different car. Saxo, 106 etc

change insurance companys mate. if they are anul over a spring change to standard, then imagine what they will be like when it comes to actually claiming. Simply put go get insurance quote with elsewhere, you can find cheaper and get better cover.

I know the initial deposit sucks, but its a small price to pay.
