SERV & ABS/EPS warning light

  172
Had all four tyres changed last weekend. After 50 miles or so i noticed the SERV and i think the ABS/EPS warning light (symbol looks like a triangle with a car skidding) has lit up. I dunno if its been brought on by replacing the tyres or if its just a coincidence. Any how it flashed up again this morning on the way to work. My thoughts is brake fluid... or is that just wishful thinking?

My cars due its 3rd year service (only done 19,000 miles) but im reluctant to pay reno the best part of £400 when my brother can do it for £150 at his peugeot garage. Plus its practically guarantied reno will some how find some expensive part that needs replacing now that my warrantys just ended.

If i get my bro to service my car (inc brake pads, discs & fluid) will these leds clear or will they need to be reset by some specialist reno device?

Also, wheres a good online site to buy my service parts from? Its 52reg 172 ;)

:p nah...
now i know im simple when it comes to cars, but im not quite that simple.

these warning leds were on for some time... 20 minutes or so! and they came on again this morning for 10 minutes.

now if i'd been wheel spinning for 20 minutes straight i reckon i'd be back for another set of new tyres ;)

this has happened to me twice now..

once about5k miles ago, and again this morning.
after i used my brakes the EPS abs and serv lights came on

both times i just switched ignition off and its gone away, should i get it into a dealer?

This problem has been caused by the brake light switch needing adjusting.
This is true - I had mine fixed under warranty by Reno. The switch is too sensitive, and so it needs adjusting, and the faults in the computer will need clearing too.

might be the abs sensor. mine came on a while ago and i took it back to renault. it was just the abs sensor loose.

Mine has just done the same, my car is in its third year of warranty now, would this still be covered?

thanks

mine was ''repaired'' under warranty the other week. hasnt come on since.. but then it only ever came on very rarely anyway so not sure if it has actually been cured!

Happened to me too, a week before my 24K service
Was gone the next day!
When i took it in for its service they were so flippant!!!
Yeah it is a common fault blah blah blah
Fingers crossed will stay off now

This brake pressure problem eveyone is on about is only an issue with the 182's (in general)
The fault if it is a serious one it logs it on the ECU and usually throws the stop light if its serious to clear it it needs to go to a Renault or an appropriatly equipt garage. Your hasn't so its probably not as huge an issue.
You could have any number of issues my guess is one of the ABS wheel sensors has worn away when you fitted the wheels back on or something. It could aloos be due to the brake fulid level though although that normally comes on going round corners at first.
