Hi lads,

My serv light is on - no other lights just that and my car is currently getting MOT'ed at the moment, now I reading this threadhttps://www.cliosport.net/threads/service-light.815494/#post-11554157
and I have had a new windscreen fitted however I didnt get one with the autowiper bracket as it was £150 more - the bloke who did it tucked the wire under and I didnt think anything of it

The light used to come on intermitingly but then go off.

Am I stuffed? Is it a Instant fail??
Gutted :weary:

It`s not a MOT failure.

Cheers lads, it failed:cry:... however you were correct it didnt fail on the serv - not even an advisory.

It has failed on a rear nearside serious shock leak, quoted £145 to fix.

Small update.

Car passed, changed the shocks myself for the grand sum of £63 for both!!

ATS it was bloke!! robbing bar stewards!

Serv light is still on and half regretting getting the cheapo screen fitted now as the serv light is annoying me already :( is the only way to get rid of it to reattach the auto wiper sensor ie new screen again:cry:

When you say cheapo screen, my correct screen with the auto lights/wiper housing was £165 fitted.
If you don`t want to pursue the wrong screen supplied route, just attach the sensor to the screen with some double sided sticky tape.

STEVE.M, mine was £120 and he wanted another £90 for the sensor bracket one - like I said If I knew the SERV light would stay on I'd have probably payed it bloody annoying me now ? I should have checked on here beforehand.

I can't attach the sensor now as he tucked the wire under the windscreen ?

Seems a strange thing to do.

I`ve never looked, but I would imagine the wires are accessible behind the light unit in the headlining.
I`m sure CS could provide a connector with a length of wiring.
You could cut your wires and join it on.

Yeah, he just said I'll tuck the wire in and no one will ever know?

I'll take a look when I get time but I doubt I'll be able to get to the connector from where the unit was unless maybe I butchered the headlining near the rear mirror but I even doubt I'll get access to it then.

Bummer.
