Service light?

had a search but could ony find threads on service light and airbag fault really.

but basicaly i know my car is coming up for a service soon, but when i stated my car this morning the service light only came on, i filled up with fuel and when i started it again it had gone off.

does the service light indicate anything else other than a service?

Its not a service light (although many of us thought it was as well don't worry!)

basically the SERV light means it needs plugging in for a fault

ahhh cheers lol, seems to be running fine tho, ill get it plugged in somewere, no point guessing what i could be lol
