Is £300 - £330 a good price for minor service plus dephaser change?

The guy said £150 of that was for the dephaser.

Last service i had was a major so i have nothing to compare it to.

When changing the dephaser, unless they've just been done, the belts should be done too really.

a garage in colchester, they are a renault specialst. i thought that but the belts were done in may 09 so by my reckoning ive anothedr 3 years yet.

Surely you'll need another belt change if you are having your dephaser replaced? Which will add more £££ to your bill.

Well I certainly wouldn't be happy to refit a 2-year-old cambelt once it's been removed. I've read many times removal and refitting can weaken a belt. I think you should get it done properly really, otherwise it may come back to haunt you.

it'll be under £500 no problem, i'm on holiday the first 10days in sept, best to call me fella, there are other specialists more local to you though don't think that you HAVE to use us - urban myth (not that i'm complaining )
