Service

  BMW 330ci
So basically after doing many mods to my car now, I am thinking I defo need a full service to check everything is ok. How much have people paid for a full service, what do they check. And you know if anything is wrong or there is a problem where it may need changing, will they tell me ? Like put it on a print out ?

Thanks

If you're in the West Midlands, Fred at BTM Performance is your closest specialist. I use him for my Trophy and he's very very good.
As for what you need doing, it depends on the car's history to date, if you have details.

For a basic service, you should get the following done: Oil, oil filter, air filter, cabin filter (if applicable), top up fluids, general check over.
Depending on what's been done in the past, maybe: Spark plugs, Gearbox oil, flush and replace coolant (every 2/3 years), change brake fluid (every 2 years).
Going further (again, depending on what's been done): Timing belt, auxiliary belt.

Gentlemen, any chance we could try and not insult each other in every thread I seem to be reading today?

+1. If you've not got anything nice to say don't say it, there's no need for half the abuse that gets handed out on here.
